Visit students Deakin University Australia

On November 19, we welcomed 30 students from Deakin University Australia to Essensor. Led by Essensor, they conducted a pilot study to gain insight into the impact of background information and experience on the assessment of products. The students tasted Remeker’s organic cheeses and compared them with a commercial cheese available in the supermarket. To investigate the effect of information/experience, the cheeses were tasted in three different ways: blind (at Essensor), with information (at Essensor) and on location at Remeker after a tour of the farm. This pilot study shows promising results for investigating the effect of context and experience, using Essensor’s Ideal Profile Method.
